Relational  Objects
The landscape is shaped by nature and human being, and is changing. We are less and less personally dependent upon the resources in the landscape, still in our time we are large scale consumers of natural landscape.
We have investigated the stretch from the Årdal society at the Sognefjord to Turtagrø in Jotunheimen, with a critical look at the relation between lifestyle, interventions in the landscape and understanding of landscape.

Årdal
Our site is Årdal municipality.  Årdal lies furthest in Sognefjorden and forms the gateway to Jotunheimen from the west. The municipality has two urban areas, Årdalstangen and Øvre Årdal, with a joint population of approximately 5,700 inhabitants.
The surrounding landscape of Årdal is spectacular. Steep mountains and water (Årdalsvannet and Sognefjorden) enclosures Årdal. The steep mountains with its river and waterfalls made it possible to built industry in this far-off place.

Eclectic Atlas
The Eclectic Atlas is a gathering of our first impressions from Årdal. It is a subjective approach which includes photos, drawings and sentences.
